is there away of reading the ignition timing with a timing ligth or does anyone know what the figures are cheers in advance chris

Yes, you can check the timing with a stroboscoop-or timinglight. Underneat the throttlehousing, on the seam where the engine meets the gearbox, you can see through a small opening the flywheel with it's timing marks. That's the point where you should aim the strobolight to read out the timing. You can only check the timing, it's not possible to adjust it. The timing for a turbo should be 8°(±3°)@825rpm.
