Default P1800S boot lid insulation pads

In the real world do the insulation pads, on the 4 quarters of the boot lid, cut down on any noise in the cabin?
On my car these had disappeared many moons ago and i never have re-instilled.
Anyone one got a view on this?

Not much I would have though but the pre cut kits are a bit expensive. Value comes from being the right stuff and having accurate cut shapes, so less waste from buying a roll. It would make the lid sound a bit less tinny. Probably more effective to sound proof the bulkhead on the inside and also do the floor under the back seat. Have you got sound deadening under the boot mat?

Agree with Derek , I don't have sound proofing on my boot lid , but have insulated the Bulkhead and also under boot matt and behind back seat :-)
