I don't know about England; but, in North America most shops that supply automotive paint and body supplies to the autobody repair trade can do custom aerosol spray bombs. If you give them the paint code and model year they will be able to match the color (the original un-faded color). The OEM colors for my 1971 142 were in the data base. The supplier close to me uses a system called U-POL. The spray bombs cost about $25 Cdn.

Hi All,

Halfords mixed me some Pearl White code 79 a couple of years back. I did have to work with the assistant and search through the paint codes rather than let them search by car model, which is how their system is set to work.

It is also worthwhile trying to find a company with a hand held scanner - these days the paint on the car / car part can be scanned so you end up with a custom matched paint recipe.

(Disclaimer:- some paint mixers like to check the recipe and adjust if necessary => those are the people you really want to know - but they tend to be more expensive than others)

Try VP-Autoparts

This is the US web page, but I assume they are in Europe as well.
