Default Broken Hazard Light Switch Fix

Apologies if y'all have done this before but I just thought it may be useful to share the fix I have just performed on my malfunctioning (ready for the bin) hazard light switch (having been suitably frightened by the asking prices for replacements) :

The problem I decided was that through wear and tear the “lock” in it becomes out of reach of the catch which is limited by the rear edges of the button abutting the switch housing. To give it more reach using a small warding file I filed down the rear top and bottom edges of the button a little giving the catch more reach when the button is depressed and, voila, the switch works again. No need to disassemble the switch.
