Same issue - 2003 V70 Diesel has suddenly started flattening the battery. I have
a) replaced the battery
b) had the alternator/regulator checked - and it's charging ok
c) checked to see if the alternator was draining the battery (when switched off) - it isn't

So , like others here, my Multimeter on 10amp was then linked up in series on the -ve battery side to measure the current.

Doors, open about 4.8 - 5.1 amps.
Shut doors using central locking (I am now reading the meter through the glass) drops to either 1.2 amps or 0.65 amps.

That's a heck of a lot of draw for a car that should be off! I have also tried pulling out fuses, and I have got two that reduce, but do not stop the problem. In the daskhboard fuse area there are two 'central module' ones, one in the third and one in the fourth bank. As already mentioned - you loose too much to leave them off, including central door locking etc.

Anyone else cracked this ?
