Default '95 2.0i (multi) 460 CD, info center woes...

Hi all,

I picked up this car last week, she has 48k on the clock and has been very well looked after.

I'm now having a bit of beef with the info center, after noticing the intake to the filter-box was disconnected I took the battery out to allow access.

Now I can't get any reading what so ever from the info center. (including fuel level)

How can I reboot the info center? Is it via the OBD header? it's most annoying!

The one thing that i'm worried about is I only noticed the info center was dead after the splash guard fell off this morning (at speed) is there any chance it could've clattered something on it's way down to the tarmac?

I'm still set on the first diagnosis, as there is no bulb behind info center, so it's very hard to see in the day light anyway. (bulbs are like unicorn crap to find).

Thanks in advance guys.

If anyone else gets this issue, resolved thusly:

Fault code read out on socket 7, view all codes then clear using standard reset proceedure. center now reporting fine.
