remember it well , the engine had to be more or less standard to comply with the rules but near 400 bhp and water injection . The B21 / B23 had forged crankshafts and rods which many overlook for high power conversions . The B200/ B230 were around in 1985 though ..

Great to see the 240 powering past the V12 Jags up the hill when they did the Bathurst round :-)

Volvo are entering the championship again next season by the way .

Ahh the 500 "EVO" models that never existed and led to them being banned for the next season.

I remember being on an S1 course at Daventry back then. The performance aspect of Volvos was always downplayed as much as possible.
If you want to go fast buy a Porsche, was one comment from an instructor.
Then they made the T5..
