Default Touch screen protector?

Hi

I will be taking delivery of my xc90 D5R design coming Wednesday (can't wait)
One of the things I have noted ( from test drive) the central touch screen gets marked with finger prints pretty easy.

I am wondering if a screen protector film is available in the market and if any one have any experience?

Thanks

Basoom

I looked at a new XC90 this week and it had a plastic film over the screen.
If I am correct, one does not need to actually touch the screen, just hover above it. This then prevents finger marks.
One is supposed to be able to operate, with gloves on?

yes to both of the above ,
it is not a conventional touch screen , it has a grid of infra-red light beams criss-crossing the screen about 3mm away from the screen , you only have to get near the screen to operate it rather than touch it ... hence working with gloves . you could buy a pair of driving gloves , but that would defeat the glorious heated steering wheel of course !

I am right to believe the R design steering wheel does not have heating?

Nope not possible. Love my R Design, just looks 'different' in a really great way! What colour you getting? Did you stay with the leather nubuck combo on the seats?

Heated steering wheel?
What next?
Well past three score and ten and have never found the need for one.
Are Volvo owners becoming a bunch of softies?
I do not even think about the heated drivers seat on a cold morning.

yeah , they cant be bothered to even press buttons now , want everything to work itself ! :-) But the XC90 will do that , it is set up to drive itself now when legislation permits . but would you be happy sat there reading a paper whilst your car drives itself ?

I went for the bursting blue colour with standard seats (not upgraded to full leather) this is the first time I go for a car with black interior and headlining as I always go for light interiors..not sure who it will stands the kids test though!!
