Default Burning smell

Has anyone else got or had an intermittent burning smell on a B4204S coming from the back of the engine. I replaced the flexi hose that goes on the manifold to the airbox with a genuine Volvo part, not sure if this is the problem. There are no oil leaks and nothing obvious. Any ideas?

Tiny exhaust leak somewhere you can't see, maybe?

Had a really good look and it appears a small plastic bag has become lodged up under the exhaust manifold 😂

Glad you sorted it, and it wasn't a neighbour's cat, like happened to a friend of mine.

I used to get this regularly, driving down the M1 to London, passing through Bedfordshire. Older members will know it was the London Brick Company's massive brickworks. I always thought there should have been a sign up, saying 'don't worry, it's not your car on fire'!
