Default What is the level of anti-theft protection in volvo

Hi
After plenty of thinking my wife bought XC60 2012 D5 Lux 215hrs. I wonder what is the level of anti-theft protection in volvo - average or above average and if there is any extra protection worth buying. No sure how expensive is tracker but it might be an overkill for the car of this age/value. After successful gearbox oil change the value of my wife's car will probably double

They are very secure. No one will be able to drive off, it’s more smashing side windows and stealing from it etc. And that’s expensive getting laminated windows etc.

What I would do is make sure you hide anything valuable in the boot or glove box.

I also have the lid cover in my XC90

A pull out / retractable fabric cover. It covers the boot area in an estate type vehicle to stop prying eyes.

Yes, you need to buy one.

I doubt that somehow. A gearbox fluid change doesn't increase the value.

I took that as a joke rather than fact 😁 but of course that might depend on how much he paid for the car 😃

If you're looking for a cheap but effective tracker then have a look at Trutrack https://www.trutrak.co.uk/. I've got a FMB920 for use with my car although I got mine from Amazon for £29.99. Very easy to fit and there's no messing about trying to find the right SIM and tariff. It comes already setup and you get full tracking for £4pm.

I've tried a couple of Chinese trackers from Ebay etc and had problems with both whereas the Trutrack one just works.

The value won't double though, unless he paid £1 for it.
