XC60 handbrake is brilliant with it auto off when you pull away (as long as you have your seat belt on ) no need to sit on foot brake.Position is a matter of opinion but once got used to is great.

ahh at last a real example of what i keep saying on here , always use your handbrake when stationary in a queue or at lights
This actually happened after traffic stopped abruptly on the motorway and I'd just come to a halt when the Audi driver behind looked up from his phone to see me stationary in front of him.

I never use the handbrake. Normally I'll let the cruise control hold it on the brake at traffic lights or in a queue. I've never been dazzled by brake lights so I don't see why anyone should have a problem with mine.

I have said before that when you get shunted you will end up in the back of someone else doubling your troubles if you are lazy and sit there with your foot on the brake ...:_)

Its amazing what 400 watts of main beam can do when someone is blinding me ! yes they wake up and realise ...

glad your city safety has been positive for you by the way :-)
Good job I have auto dip on both sets mirrors
