Wrong, I have a dealer fitted tow bar, my dealer forgot to mention the fluid change requirement then told me it wasn't required, later back tracking (car had done 64k by then) saying oh if you use it for towing yes it was required 28k ago

Luckily it didn't tow at all until c28k so hopefully no damage done (it just towed 1750kg for 350 miles)

Strangely since the fluid change the gearbox is different, it doesn't lock up mid range of given a heavy foot but dealer says that's normal

Keep the documentation. If you have any future gearbox issues, you will have some comeback.
