The relief..
On my way to work on Wednesday I was powering up the hill and suddenly started to lose power.
Pulled over, everything sounded alright so though I'd give it another go and see if pressing the accelerator harder (tried and testing car fixing method) would solve it. No joy there so had to stop and open the bonnet, checked all my plug leads, fuel pump was working. Then took a look at the air filter... the whole frying pan was loose and had slipped down and was intermittently covering the carb throat! I'd taken it off a few days before to clean the carb and had only finger tightened it back on then got distracted before I got round to tightening it. Thought I'd broken the car, but an Amazon laughs off incompetence! |

I'm glad it was a simple fix...but it makes the point for checking the last thing that was worked on, first, when a problem arises... Happy Thanksgiving from Connecticut! |

My dad did that before. Except it was a wheel!
