Today, i gave her a clean, fitted my prototype front strut brace, painted the rear blind body the correct colour ready for fitting, dug out the T4 engine trim pieces and brackets and the electric rear child lock actuators and loom ready to fit either tomorrow or sunday

Also replaced a 90 degree elbow that fits into the maf paipework, had a temporary pice in, must have had a small vac leak from there, performance is up and bit with the correct piece in

Picking a pillar mounted gauge pod and MBC up tomorrow, will get my gauge fitted fitted when time allows

The handling is transformed with the strut brace on, can't wait to make a proper one, this is just a rough template till i get the laser cut strut top rings sorted out

Going to fit the 10 disc changer in the next week or so and splice into it to allow me to run an ipod through the HU1205

What colour have you painted the rear blind body, Tony?

I don't know where you find the time, mate. I really don't.

Looking forward to seeing a pic or two, when it's all done.

Gary

I took mine to Perth, to deliver a package to one of the other site guys, who travelled up from Leith to meet me.

106 miles round trip, on overtime and expenses. ;-)

Then drove to the gym and back.

It's still shining nicely.

I've just refitted my drivers side sill/skirt trim. A couple of weeks ago I noticed it was starting to come loose at the back, and when I removed it I spotted that due to some previous damage it was twisted and separating at the back. Anyway, I managed to put it back together with the help of a hot melt glue gun, and refitted it with new fixings (£2.16 each for damned scrivets from the main dealer).

Replaced rear n/s caliper; hand brake now works & it doesn't slow down coasting downhill!!!!
Also re-glued drivers exterior door handle; drilled holes in both faces at opposing angles so hopefully the epoxy will get a better key...
