On the other side of our beautiful planet my friend! It's easy enough to do, blow torch the tip of an old screwdriver and stitch the side you can't see till it is held in place then turn over and meld it smooth down the length. My eyesight is about shot so was surprised it went so well.

Going Lemforder, rather more local but thanks for the link.

Nice change of wheels, I have BBS 16's and love the look.

Thanks, was pretty surprised it turned out so well.

The list of fail items are not too bad, they are all consumable items given our cars ages. Bit of an ouch in the pocket, but think how much better the car will be when done.
Yeah, big ouch! Had just ordered new front discs and pads so most unwelcome.
I did think it may have a couple of advisories but not a fail on flexi's. I checked front and rear brakes while doing some jobs the other day and they looked in fine order but just been out to start stripping the brakes and arms and they both have deep cuts close to the union that connects to the calipers under the sprung wire in virtually the same place so may be worth others keeping an eye on theirs. The tester said they were pretty close to failing

True enough Druid but then I would think the Oberons he replaced them with were not the easiest to keep clean either, I clean mine with a good spray of degreaser, leave them for 10, a wipe around with a small sponge and then a good blast with the Karcher, if I hadn't just had to blow over 200 notes on MOT parts my Craters were going for a refurb in 2 weeks time but they're on the back burner for now

Just about to put the old combats on and carry on stripping out the lower arms, brake hoses and give it all a blast with the pressure washer so it's nice and clean before the new parts arrive.

Hello again

These were powdercoated a couple of years before the photo I think ish.
See the couple of grooves in the disc, I had them machined then bought
cheap rubbish pads with hard bits already embedded especially for me.

and if you spend almost a minute on each wheel with their
green friend and some washing powder from The German Shop
'Aldi' once a month that's how they look, except for once during
a hard driving couple of months with no washing where some
baked on dust spots developed which I removed with a green
scouring pad and finger grease, and no scratches for me.

Before powder coating all corrosion must be sanded flat out smooth.
Sand blasting is not enough and any imperfections will show up.

More than likely the coarse adhesion key that sandblasting provides
for the plastic powdercoating compound combined with not curbing wheels
seems the best option for salt laden roads.
Thank you.
