XC90 2012 Crappy Bluetooth sound
Hi everybody,
I just got my new xc90 2012 with high performance sound system (no rti or rse) It syncs great with iphone (but not with ipad 1). However the sound quality is way below the shame level - it pops and cracks both when listening to music and during conversations. Sound is ok when iphone is connected to aux - any ideas why bt is so bad? Also, is there any way of another aux in to the stereo? I am thinking of setting up a car pc. Thanx! //JS |

Very bad sound quality with my HTC Magic connected also.
Only limited synchronisation too. Cannot receive or send texts for example. |

Put your tunes on a usb stick and use the usb input in the glovebox, the stereo gives you full artist, album and track control, works flawlessly and sounds superb.

I have a Sep 11, SE Lux, with the optional Bluetooth. I have connected an iPhone 4 and various BlackBerry's without any audio issues.
The BT streaming is particulalry good, and I tend to use that most of the time to play music. I would suggest trying another phone to see if the symptoms continue. |

Further to my comment above.
I bought the Galaxy S2 to replace my HTC, and the diffference in sound quality is amazing. It even works whilst the phone is still in my pocket (with the HTC I had to place it on the dashboard before I could hear anything through the car speakers). I still have only limited functionality though - by that I mean I cannot receive or reply to texts. My previous XC90 ('53 D5) had the comms pack, with hands free as well as a pick up privacy phone. I could receive and send text messages linked to my sim card which was slotted into the dash. |
