My understanding he is making an informed decision whether to have his head converted.
Therefore I presume the engine and the rest of the components that handle fuel will be part of that decision process?
In absence of information members could provide on volvo engines affected by ethanol someone offered up info on a same period engine.
All relevant for the decision process I would say

All said, if I was taking my cylinder head off for any reason, I would take the opportunity to take it somewhere to get the valve seats replaced. Personally, because I do very few miles, the cost of the exercise isn't worth it
Hi, Thank you everyone for sharing your know-how and views and expertise that has helped me and others to understand the topic.
To share my thought , Likewise 'swedishandgerman' I drive very few miles, less than 100 miles a month so its really not worth the Cylinder Head Conversion and I think it would benefit the usage of ethanol protection additive as the car is not driven often.

I understand that one must only use one type of additive and stick to that and those who have tried from time to time two different additives ..Castrol Valvemaster PLUS and Millers VSPe Power Plus and have they noted any difference in its performance.
Please share your experiences.

regards.....ranjit
