i go to "outens" scrapyard in purfleet on the old A13 if theres any work i cannot do for myself, maybe head down there on a saturday and ask if paul is available, let him know your problem.
word of warning though, he dosent like being taken for a ride or rushed, he is quick and reasonable wit his prices. he states his prices, and terms of work e.g. he will sort out parts for you, or you bring them to him. stick to what he says and ull be fine you also have chelmsford volvo up the road near army and navy if i remember correctly, and if you fancy going up the M11 theres one opening at bishops stortford

do they have lots of Volvo's in there ? as might go and see if i can find a alloy and a few odds n sods
and the new dealer in stortford opens on the 23rd according to the guy i spoke to at St mary's today , just make sure you dont turn up "casually dressed" (had jeans , polo shirt n trainers on) as i didnt get anyone talking to me till i made a remark "must change my anti perspriant as i seriously must smell" even then the guy wasnt happy talking to me till he realised that i knew a fair bit and may have plenty money to spend on a newer Volvo

the mechanic, paul knows a heck of a lot though, ask him if he's happy to do the work or even take a look, im sure he would be me and the mrs where in hoodies and jeans lol, looked like a right pair of chav's when we where inspecting their v50, one of them came up and asked if we where interested in buying the car or booking a test drive told him im a volvo owner already and very happy with it so far, and he upped his game abit, offering me a free check-up for my car, and a chance to win a volvo for a weekend lol as you have probably seen in the st mary's column and informed me i could get 6k off the list price if i traded my v40 in it would be interesting to go in and say hi, i work at great dunmow and my lady lives at Stortford, so they would be a favourite to me instead of trundling to chelmsford...

I had the same thing , i was having a look at the new C70 , but looks too much like the new astra (front end) , as soon as he found out i had a volvo he was a bit better , when he found out it was a 52 plate with 111k he said "time to replace it then as the engine will almost be worn out" ..... a diesel engine with 111k on the clock is nothing , but still got me free safety check and a test drive booked in for a C70 and the S60
dont spose you know any good volvo scrappers round our way ? heard there is one over canvey but cant find any details about it
