I need to sell my old Volvo 240GLT Estate to make room on the driveway. It's been off the road for a year or so but passed it's MOT just beforehand, so
probably just needs a new battery get it moving again. Here's the details:

• 2.3L Engine (B230E w/ K jetronic injection, no catalyst)
• GLT Estate
• 7 seats
• G Reg (1990)
• 174K miles
• Red
• Paint and bodywork are very good, with no known rust
• Black leather interior
• Electric windows and mirrors
• Heated front seats
• Sunroof
• Alloy wheels w/ newish tyres
• Official Volvo towbar w/ single electrics (added by me for small trailer)
• Partial service record

If I remember correctly I'm the third owner, and I've had it for 7 years. I planned on keeping it after I got a new car, but just don't have the room anymore.

Will take any reasonable offer as I'd hate to see it go for scrap.

Don't seem to be able to post private replies as I don't have enough posts under my belt . Here's some more info though:

I'll try to take some pictures of the interior in the next day or two and some better exterior shots, and upload them to the same gallery that the existing ones are in. I'll update the thread when they are done.

Generally it's pretty tidy inside, with no tears or broken plastic that I can remember.

As to price, I really don't know. I need it to sell, but I would like to get more than scrap value for it. Maybe someone could make me an offer once I get some more photos uploaded (subject to seeing it in the flesh of course).

It's a 5 speed manual, not an automatic.

Apologies for reviving an old thread, but for various reasons I never got around to selling my 240 GLT a couple of years ago, and so it's still available if anyone is interested. If the weather's ok this weekend then I'll give it a bit of a clean and take some photos.

If I don't get any bites then I'll reluctantly have to scrap it as I need to clear the driveway.

Q. Does the car run?

A. Haven't started it for a long time, but it was in full working order when SORNed as far as I can remember. I'll stick it on to charge tonight and see if it starts tomorrow.
