Default Badly painted alloys

The previous owner of The Bandwagon tried to refinish the alloys. Does anyone know how I can get them back to their former glory - without throwing cash at an alloy re-furb company?

Default alloys

You could mask the tyre off then with some light wet and dry rub them down till you get rid of the bubbling, following that go to a good motor store to buy a refurb kit or at least the silver paint to respray them. After a couple of hours on each wheel you should be able to do a good job and will be cheaper than £60 odd to get them refurb'd totally

Good reviews!!

Does anyone think they would need a lacquer of any sort on top of the paint?

Rub em down with wet n dry until you get rid of the cr*p paint and crud then prep the surface for paint and use Rustoluem Metallic Topcoats. http://www.rustoleum.co.uk/products/aerosols

It's very durable stuff.
