Default Fuel filter or pump

Today I went for a drive a my dad was taking his car to classic swede and on the hills the car when trying to rev over 3000 revs suddenly started juddering

Now it's had ht leads
Dizzy cap
Spark plugs
Air filter
Rotor arm
New top engine mount

It has done this before and I thought nothing off it until today going to Wales up those hills it was struggling

Now is it a blocked fuel filter or a fuel pump on its way out.

andy
for the £ ,,id lob a new fuel filter in and see
if its not that,, not a great £ spent and deffo not wasted as youd fit a new filter when fitting a new pump, may as well try the cheaper (and imho more liable) of the two to start with

Going to get a new filter and replace it

If it helps for the price and easiness of replacement on these models i would just replace both Mann filter £9 and uprated Walbro 255litre pump £35 from fleabay.

I just replaced mine the other way around to yourself fuel parts first then the Dist.cap and rotor arm.

At least you know you will have another 100,000 out of them at not much out lay.

Forgot to mention ,the Walbro are used by Volvo as standard, but the uprated ones are very good for the £`s.......so therefore are a different part number and slightly different fittings but all parts needed are supplied.

Don`t waste your time looking for the same part number pump anywhere as they are manufactured by Walbro for Volvo only.
Hope this helps?

Keith
