Hi There,
Lovely looking motor....Would be a shame to break her, but when you can get one like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-VOLVO-C70...item3a59cffc0b I know it's a bit older, and a coupe, but it's running. good luck. joe. Last edited by silverback02; Apr 17th, 2010 at 00:19. |

Thanks Joe,
I know - it's a darned shame. The number of people who have seen it on my drive and said 'You're really unlucky - that never happens to Volvos!' :-( Andy |

Message to JOHN 850
Hi John,
Sorry - I'm still not up to 30 posts so am unable to reply to Private Messages... The biggest irony of all was that I was on my way to part ex the car when the knocking started (funnily enough they weren't interested in part exing it when I got there!) Ended up buying the new car outright, then the C70 blew on my way home. Not the best day of my motoring life... Mileage is 125000 and it has FVSH up to the point where I bought it, then MOT certificates and service receipts from that point on. I also have both keys plus fobs. Please shout if you're interested - I'm very open to negotiation... Cheers, Andy |

Message to DAVEBSLATER(UK)
Hi Dave,
I still can't reply to Private Messages, hence the public post... One garage quoted me £500 for labour to replace the engine (a rough quote as it would have depended on whether any ancillaries came with the new engine). I have seen the correct engine second hand (not reburb) on ebay for £750, but I guess there are no guarantees as to the mileage/condition. As for a refurb, I haven't looked into that, but someone else on this forum may have a good idea. Alternatively, if anyone has an engine and they know its history then they could drop it in no worries at all. I realise that I'm going to have to let it go for quite a reduced price, so please do make an offer. I promise I won't be offended!!! Cheers, Andy |

Hi everyone.
From the PMs I've been getting, it sounds like I've been aiming too high pricewise. I've decided to choke back the tears and drop it to £1000 (ono). Cheers, Andy |

Do me a favour and join T5D5.org (it'll only take a couple of mins and I'll see when you join) as we can talk there... Sorry all but the 30 posts rule is a bit over the top Ian |
