Windscreen Wipers for XC40 2020

Hi,

I have recently bought the car above, but it needs a new set of wiper blades. Halfords didn't have the Bosch wiper blades which I wanted, as my car has the washer located on the wiper arm. I wondered if anyone can suggest anywhere else where u can get them, other than to buy from Volvo?

I am surprised you need new blades on you 2020 XC40.
The blades on my last Volvo were 5 years old and still good.

Yes volvo wiper blades last around 3 winters on Average...

Halfords "Bosch" barely one season .

If the car is in warranty a decent volvo dealer will change them free

I have a 21 plate I purchased just over 2 weeks ago. It's fairly high mileage at 20k but it definitely needs a new drivers wiper blade I have cleaned the heck out of it but the bottom half is crap.

The sensible thing is to take it to Volvo and get them to replace it but my nearest dealer is 20 miles each way. So I will probably just get some locally and I need it fixing ASAP.

I will have a look at my local halfords at the weekend see what they have.

Holy crap what is so special about these wiper blades.
Put the reg in to any site that does blades like halfords and it only lists the rear. What is that all about.

Are they specifically built for Volvo? May end up having to go to the dealer for these.

Original Volvo ones are far superior to any other, so yeah, they're made for Volvo

Just out of curiosity, I’ve had a look on line. Plenty of places offering wiper blades for XC40, BUT not for cars with integrated washer jets. So, for now at least, it would seem that Volvo have the monopoly.

I don’t know how much a dealership charges for wiper blades, but there’s some listings on eBay for “genuine” Volvo XC40 wiper blades for around £34.

that's about right , you will get at least 3 winter seasons out of them.
