I replaced the fuel filter a couple of days ago following Clans and others advice on the forum and have just returned from a 400 mile round trip today without a hitch. It was pretty tight so it probably hasnt been changed for a couple of years. Looks like problem solved and much cheaper than a fuel pressure regulator & sensor which we first thought :-}

Thanks for the great advice.

This regulator also has a sensor on it, so I am guessing that it is failing intermitantly. The bosch part no is 0281002527 (which I think relates to Volvo part 30637150) I cant find this part available on the net anywhere.
has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks in advance..
Hi, i am having the same problem on my 03 plate xc90 d5 with 66k, and its doing my head in. I have done all the obvious things like replace filters, mass air flow meter, checked all hoses and intercooler, but still goes into limp mode on acceleration. I have now barrowed a snap on scanner which tells me the same code 0094 fuel system (slight leak) and i have no leak what so ever! Can anyone please please help me with this problem. Best regards, JOS.
