Volvo V70 T5 AUTO £750 ono Calne, Wiltshire
R203FBM
Volvo V70 T5 2.3 Petrol Turbo 5 Cylinder 239BHP Before this, I had a V70 TDI and loved it. This car (initially a stop gap after hitting a deer) has been everything the diesel was and more. It is more powerful, better specced, has better history and is in overall finer condition. This is not to say it is perfect. There is a small amount of rust on one rear wheel arch, the bumpers have evidently been used for bumping and the leather is beginning to show wear. This does not stop the volvo from being a comfortable cruiser and a majestic overtaker. The distinctive 5 cylinder burble and turbo shove make it a hoot to drive, even if you are carrying a wardrobe or 5 adults. Heated beige leather seats, rare dolby sound system, original cargo nets in the boot. Boot struts that work, 302mm brakes, savagely strong heater, wood trim made of real wood. Extensive history. Oil & filter changed today (24.02.18). Negative points include: poor paint on bumpers, Lound but fully functional power steering pump (fluid changed and noise remained). Alternator bearing whines but still alternates. Squeaking top mount. Temperamental rear wiper works 12% of the time. Service light on unnecessarily as I have serviced it myself (air, oil, fuel, cabin, plugs, etc). I lack the tool to turn it off. It doesn't have a Sunroof. I have been frank and perhaps a bit unfair in describing this car's negative points. It does 60 miles a day, 5 days a week and likes it... Recently went to Halifax and back. The journey was a breeze, despite horrid weather. A really good one of these is hard to find and they are beginning to cost a lot when you find one. This is far from perfect but far from spent. I am getting rid of it to drive something small and economical (a Peugeot 205), save for a wedding and reduce my fleet by 1. MOT till 25/05/18 Average cost of those sold on eBay is £567.36. This is an unusually high spec and well looked after so I think £750ono is fair. Thanks for looking, Fred. Last edited by Foeux; Feb 24th, 2018 at 14:39. |

I'd love this.
If I can sell my P reg 2.5 turbo petrol auto, I'll be knocking on your door. If anyone fancies my V70, give me a shout for full details. |
