Default Caravan LED rear lights

Does the Volvo trailer system work with LED tail lights on caravans.

Just a new caravan with them and I can remember that the Landrover system has trouble with LEDs.

Don't want to arrive at the dealer in few months time to take my existing van in and find that I have to change the system over before I can tow the new one away.

More recent volvos are compatible , not sure of when they were made compatible though , 2012 ish perhaps ? If you look at the trailer module on the Volvo accessory web site it says they are compatible for a 2013 XC60 , but I am not sure if they were compatible IN 2013 ... Might be worth going over and plugging the caravan in and trying them first . It will be a simple new trailer module and software if they don't work properly.

Thanks for the reply. The tow bar and module were fitted in Nov 2013 so I may be OK.

Car is in the dealers on Monday so I will ask them to check.

My 2016 XC60 is fine with LED lights, as it my 2003 XC90 but the "tell tail" indicator doesn't work on the dash on the latter with LED lights.

For some reason, not sure where I read it, I have in my head that models fitted with 13-pin sockets are compatible, but I may be wrong.

FYI - I did initially have trouble initially with my XC60 with LED lights with it erroneously reporting failed bulbs - this was cured by using the genuine Volvo 13-pin to 7-pin adapter rather than the Halfords one that I had.

Thanks for the reply, I have the Volvo 13 pin socket and the 13 pin plug on the caravan so hopefully it will be OK. I'll find out tomorrow.

Thanks for the replies guys.
The dealer forgot to try and I forgot to ask.
I will pop into my caravan dealer and try it on a new spec van to see if it is OK.
Not collecting the van until January so time to sort it out if I need to change the module.
