Urgent Need can you help
Hi, sorry about asking, but i had a hit and run while parked today. As a member of a community nursing team, i must have a roadworthy car. Does anyone have a V40 Ph1 Nearside indicator lens/light unit and marker light they could sell me.

Im pretty sure I have an indicator lense in my shed, however unfortunately im on a north sea oil rig until at least Sunday so can't do anything until I get back, the marker lense isn't a required part so from a legal standpoint you should be fine without that, my P1 ones never worked so I blended them into the trim and then painted it.

Don't know about the cost of the indicator light, but the side markers are £10 a pop from Volvo. The bulb is part of the lamp unit, so best to fit a new one.

Technically it's a sharp edge that would lacerate any pedestrian foolish enough to jump in front of you while you're driving to within an inch of their lives so as such needs to be covered up.  The MoT man won't complain about duct tape (might put an advisory though) but both he and the local constabulary will jump on you about the sharp edge.  If you've already done that bit, ignore my advice, if not jump on it before you get jumped on! Good luck with the search for the lenses anyway!
