My 1st volvo, V40 servicing advice
Hi everyone,
I bought my first ever Volvo (V40) a couple of weeks ago and im over the moon, it seems like a good buy. Its a 51 plate and has covered 96500 miles. Which leads me on to my question... 1. Im not very familiar with the servicing schedule for volvos, so Im trying to get to grips with it and decide what to do, so hopfully you can help. It has a full service history from the previous owners which is cool. The car has pretty low mileage for a car that age and from the service book it looks as though it is due a sevice at 99065 miles or 070613. The last full service was at 78944 miles/ 090611 (10 year service), then it had the 11 year/126,000 mile service at 89028/ 070612. Hope that made sense!! So what is it due for the next servicing? What does it entail? How much will it cost (dealer/garage, roughly)? Thanks very much! |

10,000 miles is the service interval, and it's due a cambelt every 80,000 miles. Main thing to check is whether it had one at around 8 years / 80,000 miles. If there's no record of it having been changed, then you'd be wise to get it changed asap.
