Volvo v40 t4 cutting out stalling when hot
Hi just wondering if any one can help with a issue I have got with my 2002 Volvo v40 t4, when the engine is hot the car cuts out/ stalls when coming to a junction/stop also if I’m stationary and Rev the car it will Rev up but when the revs come down the revs go right down then up and nearly cuts out. Ive changed plugs (Volvo) and also replaced the coils pack and replaced the small pipe that goes from the intercooler to the throttle body as it had a spit, after changing all of these the problem still Exists. Can anyone point me in the right direction and what I should check/change next, no warning lights on dash and no codes ?? When the car is cold you can Rev and it won’t cut out only seems to be doing it when the engine is hot ??

Have you ever had any overheating issues? How does it start when cold?
Any sign of mayonnaise under the oil cap? My dad chased symptoms like this for a year or longer, in the end it was a blown head gasket or similar.

Maybe engine coolant temperature sensor, located near the thermostat
