Default Missing keys

I have just bought a 2007 MY S80. The information display says there are 3 keys, but I have just 2 of them.

Should the dealer be able to cancel the missing key so that it cannot be used by anyone who happens to have it?

Default would it still be the case if........

would it still be that the main dealer can cancel the second key of the two showing as programmed in? as my wife has "misplaced" her key for a 56 s80 and dont fancy a local youth driving around in our s80

Yes you can erase the missing key . but it will be two different softwares , An ignition key application and Remote application . the software will allow new keys / remotes to be added or removed , so maybe you can make use of the oportunity to add new keys or remotes whilst it is being done .. softwares are usualy about 20 minutes labour each, cost of software you will need to check ..
