Default Volvo brakes

Good Afternoon All

Most manufacturers do not make there own brakes. Assuming this applies to Volvo does anybody know who makes the brakes for my car

Cheers, Pete.

I used to work for a company which made mince pies for all the major supermarkets.

We had MandS, JS, Tesco, Morrisons etc.. all going down the same production line one after another. All made by the same teams using the same machinery. However every retailer had a different recipe and different quality of ingredients.

I take the same view on OEM parts. They might be the Original Equipment Supplier, but who knows if they use the same materials and same spec.......

I would stick with the pads in the blue box.....

Unless the blue box is a Britpart box then avoid it at all costs. Those in Landrover circles refer to them as Sh#tpart.

Default Volvo Brake Pads

Thank you for your replies, I will examine them closely when I come to change the brake pads and see if they are stamped with a makers name.

Cheers, Pete.
