Hi! Did some one solve this issue with your volvo? Because i have the same problem with mine volvo. Would be nice if you share the information
I'm satisfied that - at least with my car - this is NOT a fault. I only ever get the warning message if a rear door has been opened before driving off... seems to me that Volvo skimped on rear seat occupancy sensors and this is their way to alert the driver.

But the warning message doesn't disapears from your info managment until you are driving?
So do you suggest let it go, because it is not a fault?

Correct, the message is unnecessarily persistent and takes several minutes to clear from the display. But I don't think it's a fault (mine is still the same).

As you can see from my posts from earlier in the thread, shortly after buying my car I also thought it was an indication of a fault when I first noticed these messages. However I now do believe that it's absolutely normal and there is actually some logic behind the messages, and the advice I received from post #20 onwards is correct.

This is not a fault. It is a reminder to fasten the seat belts and close the doors. If the ignition is turned on before the belts are fastened or doors closed the display will show, however if belts are fastened (for all occupants) and all doors closed before ignition is turned on, 'belts and doors' will not be displayed.

Smile Belts and door warning symbol triangle with exclamation

2016 V60 Premier

Warning light on.

I checked all my doors, sat in the car, and buckled the driver’s side belt. There was nothing in my other seats and the warning light with the triangle and exclamation point would not go away.

So I looked around the outside of the car and noticed my hood (bonnet) was not completely latched in the front left hand corner facing the car. It was barely noticeable. I pushed it down into place and the light went off.

I hope this resolves the mystery for others.
