Default Hmmmm......

On the face of it, yes mate it's knackered. Don't get too hung up on the side-to-side movement more the front-to-rear as it's job is to resist the torque of the engine trying to tear itself off the lower mountings. From memory, even a new one has some front-to-rear play but nothing like that yours appears to have. I did mine with a gen Volvo one about 80k ago and still holding up fine but I don't tear-arse around..... I'd avoid polybushing, certainly on a diesel or might end up with a 5 cylinder sex toy...... LOL.
HTH,
Nobby

I went with poly as my car is petrol.

If you know anyone flying home to the UK via NYC or EWR I could give you my old, perfect one. The PO had had it replaced shortly before trading in.

Thanks for the offer, already bought one off of the Bay, £44, from charlton volvo... heres another video of it off the car now, that was fun, i couldnt remove the brace or whatever its called, that log bar, needed an air tool for that so i had to struggle under the bar and around that darn plastic casing that goes over the injectors... anyway, heres the video

Finally got it fitted, took afr longer than it ever should, don't ask.....
Anyhoo, the new one was totally different in terms of play, ie, pretty much none at all, unlike my old flaccid one
