From what I can gather the V power will have better additive/detergent levels apart from that I don't know...

My R loves the V power, returns more miles to the gallon too, The car actually feels faster on the bumometer though,

Sorry to hijack your forum, I used to have a T4 but now own a modified Impreza, and I would always use shells V power over anything else. This is a constant debate on Impreza forums.
The majority of Subaru drivers use V power, bp ultimate is rubbish and I doubt Tesco or any other place will be as good either. |

The ethanol is the good thing as it also cools the combustion process and helps maintain power the down side is the increased fuel consumption see link for fuel spec. A search for info would have saved you time as there is a few threads on this subject although I still can't find the spec for V Power wonder why?

As i said before, my R loves the V Power, it is returning 25.2 mpg at the moment, i have done 330 miles in the car with 3 gallons remaining, with the Tesco 99 i would be lucky to get 310 out of a full tank.
Gary.

After reading what you guys say about the 'v-power' fuel, I decided to try it in my V70 10v, which is an absolute flying machine (NOT).
I noticed that it ran much smoother and I believa a little quicker. Most importantly, approx 10 percent increase in M.P.G. In my mind, this is worth the extra outlay to fill the tank. Thanks for the info. |
