Hmmm, fingers crossed I can find a workaround.

I can't reply to PM's; need to post minimum of 30 posts (this one is 23). Is there a way around this?

As far as I know it's not going to work on an iPad. Buy a really old Win7 laptop. Something robust like the IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad is ideal. I picked up one with a retro fitted SSD that is perfect for the job and cost about £60. Having a bespoke industry standard diagnostics set up for just over £100 is a bargain and with the complexity of thje electronics on these cars is an absolute necessity if you are going top understand what is going on inside the vehicle's electronics system.

Post 29 finish line in sight.

Found this today on Ebay. Coming out of the UK.

States... "Vida 2014D and EWD 2014D mutil language version will work on Windows XP, VISTA,Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 (32 and 64 bit versions), Linux And Mac"

Anyone got one of these working with Win 10?

VIDA software can be installed without DICE. You can try installation first, then purchase the DICE adapter. Virtual machine version of VIDA2014D is available here:

Anyone here installed Vida onto a USB stick or portable hard drive so it can be used on a machine with limited memory or even on a variety of machines? Is that even possible?

Just want to be able to use Vida on a Windows 10 tablet which doesn't have enough memory, and preferably, use it on my Win 7 desktop.

If it can run a virtual machine you could put the Vdi/vhd/Vmdk etc file on a USB stick and run it that way.
Running a VM from a USB stick on hardware with limited resources can be a pretty poor experience but if it's your only option, it's better than nothing.

I'm just trying to avoid buying a 2nd hand laptop; got too much "stuff" laying around already.

Vdi/vhd/Vmdk - what the....???
