Default Help - Parrot CK3100 install not working

Hi

I've installed the CK3100 in my V50 using the autoleads adaptors - the trouble is that there is no life out of my parrot (it's a dead parrot you could say!)

I've checked the power to the ignition sensor lead and to the main 12v power requirements but I'm clueless as yto how to progress from here on - there are two leads coming out of the autoleads adaptor from the parrot unit that say +ve line and -ve line - do these need connecting up? - I thought that the autoleads did everything for you with no requirement to splice in to anything.

Any advice appreciated

Thanks

Rich

Yes you need these wired up.

IIRC +ve is for an ignition live and -ve is obviously for ground. The autoleads nearly do everything!

Hope that helps

Thanks for that

Next question - is it to a 12v source and do I need to put any fuses inline?

which auto lead have you used?

is it a sot adapter that fits to parrot lead to connect to your hesd unit?

or 06-904b full divert lead which makes parrots loom redundant?

is yours amped or not? what year car?

I would urge caution as the additional +ve and -ve are usually mute triggers not power supplies.

With more info I can find the answers.

Also you will need to swap red and orange at the fuses as french (ie parrot) reverse perm live and ign live in iso connectors. just swap at the fuse holders

Still no luck

Cumbrianmale - Ive used a 06-045B autolead with a 06-423B parrot adaptor. I've got to say that the instructions that came with them could be clearer. The car is an 04 V50 with the high performance system, so it's amped with no subs.

Any pointers?

Cheers

Rich

Is your amp in boot in left panel behind carpet trim?

have you connected floating ign lead to switched source like ciggy lighter?

right chatted to an installer.

here's his reply

He's already tested for a live and an ignition live, has he tested the earth?
Where along the line were the lives checked? If there are 12v live feeds going into the Telemute but non coming out, then I suspect a poor connection or maybe a duff lead/relay box. If there are live feeds at the end of the Telemute then the lead is OK, but are there live/earths at the end of the Parrot adapter? Perhaps a pin isn't contacting properly in the 4 pin micro Molex plug between the lead and adapter? If there are 2x 12v live feeds and a good 12v earth going to the Parrot's blue box then I suspect the kit is knackered.... I've had a couple of CK3100 with dead screens, but these usually just light up blue with no display at all.

Hope this helps.

BTW where are you? I'm Carlisle but would take a look if your localish.
