Finally received my V50 R-Design from the company leasing peeps after a 5-month wait. Mind you I ordered it whilst laid up with a broken leg so I wasn't going far for a little while. Arrived last Thursday and got 900+ miles on it already. Info centre appears useless extra - economy nothing like what pen and paper work it out at. Managed 41mpg on first half-ish tank mostly round town and 53mpg on 600 miles round trip mostly on M-ways and duals, so quite pleased with that. Active HIDs expensive but fabulous. |

Hopefully less than a month before mine finally get delivered - ordered it in April. Can't remember if the roof rails were an option to be silver or black? Did you state it on your order? did you opt for the high performance stereo?
PS Do you mirrors fold automatically? PPS Which engine did you plump for?

sxman - I love the colour too, though it was only chosen from the catalogue; I couldn't find a demonstrator or other car in the dealers nearby with that colour. I wanted the Chameleon Blue but that's not available on the R-Design.
HelFella - I ordered mine at the back end of April, was originally given a date of September which slipped to mid-Oct - today in fact. My local dealer had suggested 6 weeks for a normal spec and 8 weeks for an R-Design! Unfortunately the lease company uses an 'exclusive' dealer - Sytners in Warwick as I understand. After a bit of pushing I took delivery on the 2nd Oct. I only remember an option to delete the roof rails, not for colour. I know you can with Audi. The mirrors don't appear to fold automatically. I thought this would be the 09 model and it's supposedly standard on the 09 build now, so don't know, maybe it's a late 08. I went with the normal stereo which is a lot clearer than the one in the demo car I had. I thought £500 extra for the multi-CD ('cos you need the higher spec stereo) was too much, especially as you can just as easily plug in an MP3. |

Nice. Forgot to mention mine was Orinoco Blue, so a bit darker than yours.
