The original filter is a Purflux C516 for reference.

I too had issues taking off and putting back on, 1st i didn't have a tool, so that I bought, cheap type but it said it was for the filter, suffice to say it didn't work so I ended up buying the proper tool that uses the ratchet, it does seem odd the way you use the tool with a ratchet but it deffo works, my issue was that it was very tight to take off and very, very tight to put back on, I don't believe I lube up though, it was too late by the time I read about the lubing. I did however triple check it wasn't leaking and told myself that a garage can do the fuel filter next time, what makes it harder is the awkward position you're in laying down, a ramp would be far easier...

The garage would be used because I doubt I would be able to take it off again without breaking it lol

I will check the brand and see if I still have the box, both old and new o rings were too big though. When the filter came off screeching all the way i knew it was not right as that's simply not how a o ring seal works. Thread's should be free once the seal is broken.

I hope this helps people out. My thread's had began to break away at the end due to the force exerted on them when tightening. I bet there is god knows how many out there forced on by garage's
