Default Water in the floor pan in 2008 S40

Recently bought a 2008 S40, and am really enjoying it, however it gets wet regularly on the front passenger side floor.
I removed the carpets and noticed multiple small ( 1mm? ) holes in the floor pan. Is this normal?
It's not corrosion, almost looks like someone deliberately drilled them.
Any feedback from anyone who's had the carpet up would be appreciated.

Hi Clan, no sunroof.
The windscreen had a bad leak so I refitted it, thought that was the problem.
Maybe it had been a long term issue, so lots of holes in the floor for drainage.
I'll dry it up again and see if its coming through the holes.

Let you know how I get on.
