Default Parked in my village yesterday ----

a 1937 green Riley! Sadly I only had the mobile phone camera with me. Saw two more beauties out on the road after that but they were mobile so I couldn't park up and take photos.

Reminds me of a childhood memory of travelling with the miserable Toad of an an old man ( nothing has changed there ) to a village in Cambs to look at a Riley in maroon previously owed by Sir Douglas Bader ( hope I have the spelling correct )

Lovely mota but the old fella could not raise the asking price which has stuck in my tiny little brain as 750 quid !

Cracking pic I must say

Before my time and my type of cuppa but, I can absolutely appreciate an old car, in nice condition and being used, so credit to its owner.

Riley Kestrel 6 light: ~ fast cars in the day & more than capable in today’s traffic.
Great engines and well-engineered.

An aeroback a fairly early example of manufacturers experimenting with aerodynamics.Lovely looking example. At 99,999cc that must be some engine!!! I'd hate to see the fuel consumption of such a thing Still if that's what it says on the computer it must be right Lol.
