Default Engine management light on briefly

Morning

When to fire up the my D5 AWD this morning (it was about 04 at the time) and the emissions warning light came on, and the audible alarm beeped. As soon as the engine started it stopped. I went for a 40 min drive with some 60 mph stuff, stopped and restarted, no warning.

Thoughts?

Anything I can do other than a diagnostic check at the Volvo garage? Does it need a motorway blast?

(apologies for the double post)

Since it's engine related, chances are good you have some error code that can be read with any generic device, like an OBDII Bluetooth/WiFi adapter and an application in your phone.
