Test drove another T5 XC60 today, which has got HUD; this is a first-time experience for me with HUD and I straightaway fell in love with it. It does what it is supposed to do and looks cool at the same time. Glad I chose it over the heated windscreen as part of my recent order!!

I understand that they are available to order (I ordered one last week) but that the factory order system will only begin processing those orders from mid March (so later this week). The order isn't "official" until the factory accepts it (I believe).

I concur to what sebster has said; just to add to that Volvo website is not officially updated with MY19 pricelist or the configurator yet. Furthermore, I was even informed by one of the dealers that Santander (i.e. Volvo’s official finance providers in the UK) do not yet have the residual values, which are relevant to PCH and PCP finance, on the MY19 XC60s.

Cheers! My original MY2018 order made in mid Jan was moved to MY2019 because Volvo has low production quotes for Ukraine. Was also told the details about MY2019 will be available in the 2nd half of March. Expected delivery is anywhere between end of May and June. 5 months delivery in total! Good thing is that the contract states the dealer must deliver within 120 days (4 months), then they pay a fine for every extra day.

The Santander system went live on the 2nd March, as that's when the dealer quotes to my enquiries started coming into the inbox (I'm ordering through PCH on a 6+47, 10,000m/yr basis). Prior to that they had indeed been unable to quote whilst the residual values etc where worked through (via CAP I believe).

Interesting, when I placed my order on 6th March even my dealer had sent me through my PCP finance quote, which was based on Santander’s MY18.5 residual values. However, he did stress that the Santander system wasn’t updated with the new residual values that are relevant to MY19 cars and hence not to take the figures in the quote as gospel as they might change if residual values change; he said he will send the upto date quotation as soon as the Santander’s PCP finance calculator gets updated to MY19 figures. From what you said, it looks like Santander’s PCH calculator went live but not the PCP one.......sounds a bit strange if that is the case!!

That is indeed interesting. All my PCH quotes came back stating it was a MY19 car and prices (options selected where updated as Xenium has dropped with inclusion of front parkies as standard) but that’s not to say the depreciation figures underlying weren’t based on MY18.5 residuals.

I guess I’ll never know....but I can’t imagine the residuals between two model years are going to vary by a great deal (as a % of retained value over the contract duration). Here’s hoping anyway ) Let us know if your quote changes over the coming days....
