How does this differ from the 'High level illumination' from last years model, where there are already two LED's in each outside door handle, to illuminate the handle and the stepping ground along the side of the car? Puddle lights are normally in the mirrors, but with the 360 cameras already there, this does not leave much extra space for even more LED's.

It hard to find the argument though, why you should need more outside illumination, as the LED's in the handles does a very good job in illuminating both the sides of the car 1- 1,5 meters out.

Any idea if production has commenced yet? Or it will start after Swedish workers celebrate the May 1st?

You know what, I even rang the Volvo’s Torslanda plant near Gothenburg to find out that information for you, which is where XC60s are produced for worldwide market. However, no luck with the information; they wouldn’t tell me!!

No wonder! That info could be used for industrial espionage, theft and or other acts...

Mine October 2017 Inscription hasn't got the tailored dash, sorry to say.
Just realised I've already made similar comment, senior moment.

What about a GPF filter on the gasoline engines?
It may have been mentioned before, sorry if it was.

I contacted Volvo UK about this on the 5th April and had an email back stating that MY19 XC60 production would commence 23rd April.

So there should be quite a few through the line by now!

I suspect that it's more than a software upgrade, because of the extra cameras involved. Front, rear and the camera in each mirror as I understand it.
I think it's a bit of a fiddle. I wanted the 360 camera but to do that you have to add BLISS for another £500 or thereabouts so to actually add the 360 camera costs £1250.

Rear camera and rear tints should be part of the basic package.

That's the stuff of nightmares for me.

My XC60 is not going anywhere near a "tight space". My family despair of me as I'm known to use google maps to stakeout good car parking end spots before we visit anywhere new!!
