Default Noise turning right from front.

Hi everyone,

Any ideas / diagnostics or likely causes.

I have a Volvo S40 sport year 55. Developed a metal to metal noise from the front nearside when turning right.

regards Ants

I am new to the S40 but that sounds like a worn ball joint.

I had the same noise on mine, turned out to be the disk brake guard rubbing against the wheel. Dealer said it was a common problem and didn't charge to fix (think they just repositioned it by hand). Other causes can be stones stuck between the disk and the guard.
