New alternator and battery but battery flat again! Any ideas
A couple of weeks ago we had a problem with our V50 were we came to it and the battery was flat. It would start off a jump start though so we took it to the local auto electrician who traced it to a faulty alternator. This was replaced as was the battery but a week later the battery is flat again. There is obviously some kind of battery drain but where?
I did notice when I locked it the other day that there was a clicking coming from under the bonnet but it only lasted a few seconds. Also this morning I noticed the hazard lights flashing for a minute or so but the alarm hadn't triggered. Any ideas? |

Obvious thing is to check charging voltage first. Dud batteries also appear every now and then. Anyway, it should be up to the garage to fix it free of charge the way I see it.

Hi, Im still after some help with this one. The car has been back to the auto electrical place who have checked it over and can find no fault with it. I am leaning towards maybe the alarm siren being defective but how can I test this? The siren does activate when the battery gets low and we have noticed on occasions that the hazards light flash without the alarm sounding. Also, where is the siren located on the V50 and how do I get to it?
