cerium oxide is what you want but be really careful you need enough heat to remove them but not to much otherwise you will damage the layers.Being blunt it is something that unless you have skill in polishing bodywork then this is about 3 or 4 times as arse clenching.

Tommy wiper blades go original all the way! As for tyres Pirelli Scorpion STR are the best I think and good value. We've just had snow and fab like driving on black top, grip and handling good also. cannot comment on wear yet as only just fitted but I'm hoping for 40k for the set swapping front/back. Good all season tyre I paid £162 each supplied and fitted at local tyre dealer. Mine are 235/55/18

problem has gone away , well been taken out of my hands as after whizzing through the MOT with no advisories on wednesday this week on the drive to N Wales for a weekend with family the day after a large stone decided to put a large star right in drivers line of sight. Nat windscreens coming on Thursday to fit new screen

Just had car serviced and asked for new front blades to be fitted, OUCH! some price, expected maybe 30tops but was charged £32.22 for a 'wiper blade kit' plus 12.24 for the wiper blade ??? + VAT. what is the KIT. Not sure if I want to spend that again. Always used wiperblades.co.uk in the past think I'll use them again next time.

I was looking up the cost of a 3 year/54000 mile service (actual 3 year/20000mile) earlier this evening and the cost of wiper blades if required was £60. I think I'll put some on before it goes in

Be careful or you might get the old "your wipers are split, Sir. Would you like new ones?"

Had this before at a dealer that has since closed. 2nd time I checked my self that they were good, but still got the call. Told them that they are not split because I checked them that morning. "Oh sorry" came the reply. "I'm just going by what the workshop have put here" When I collected the car and asked I was told they had made a mistake!

Good job this guy's not working on my brakes.

Probably not necessary, but I change mine every year in late November, early December.
Seconded. They last longer than the cheap imitations, in my experience. I have retrofitted them to several cars, in every c ase wiper performance is massively better even on old screens.

I bought Bosch flat blades and fitted them today after reading the recommends on this post.
Absolutely fantastic. I do about 1000 miles a week commuting, and having clear vision or the coming winter months has just made it that little bit 'nicer'.
No flat spots, or bits that get missed by the blade like the cheap ebay ones do.

Well impressed.
