Sportwag Member Last Online: Jul 1st, 2023 07:34 Join Date: Nov 2009 Location: Co. Antrim	Tailgate Strut I had a tailgate strut fail suddenly on my R Design. Never had this happen before on my previous XC90 (2005) so was a bit surprised. As it is not covered under the extremely comprehensive Volvo Approved warranty, I phone around and was shocked to find that a single Volvo strut was over £50 (supposed to be replaced in pairs). Bought a pair from www.sgs-engineering.com for £40.90 including delivery and a 2-year guarantee. Very easy to fit - 10 mins to change both sides and the tailgate lifts like it is brand new. For anyone needing to replace one of these I would look no further than SGS.
