Default Fault codes

Hi , At a recent service the following codes came up,

TCM-P089600 and TCM-P074468, the first is that the shift time is too long, and the second is the torque convertor solenoid circuit is intermittent, an algorithm based failure.

Anyone know anything else about these codes?

Cheers
Chris

I got one of those codes recently (three months ago). I have not had any problems since. Here's my story:

I've since changed my transmission fluid to see if that makes any difference. For what it's worth, the fluid was very dark and no longer red when it came out. In addition, I suspect that the fluid may have been low but I cannot confirm this. Hopefully the car doesn't stop on me again.

Here is an interesting article that references the more generic code with the same description:

Sounds like early valve body failure..... Common on these TF80 gearboxes, but not too expensive to cure if you know the right people..
