  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default good alternator..bad bearings

Hi lovely people...alternator bearings going bad...I had a look at replacement unit..stupid money...i want to change them..Dont know the bearing numbers..but i"m going to do it any way..its a bosch ..too many numbers to make sense...but 0120..any heads up on the bearing numbers would help..but if not..its going to happen..hj.

All bearings should have a number on the side:~
You can then order from this- if for some reason it isn't there then you can order the appropriate one from measurements.
O.D- I.D. & Depth.

This company is good and will tell you how to measure (if needed)

As stated above, the bearing when removed will give you the correct number and sizing etc, I have had good service from these guys in the past: https://www.bearingboys.co.uk/

Good to see someone actually rebuilding an alternator , rather than just replacing it . Don't forget to change the brushes while you are at it, sods law says they will go a short time after !
