All I can say is that I put the car in reverse and then press the side that I want to look at the ground level and press the appropriate button (as if you are going to move it manually) the mirror moves! It only works one side at a time (which is a bit of a pain) if you press both together then both mirrors fold in.

I hope this helps

I have a 60 plate D3 ES and this doesn't work on mine - presumably because I don't have the electrics that control the auto fold-in option.

That if you hold down the lock button on the key pad for a few seconds it closes all the windows automatically and vice versa with the open button - nice way of cooling the car on a hot day

Just below the fuel tank contents gauge is a picture of a fuel pump, the arrow that points to the fuel pump indicates which side your fuel filler is on.

Okay it is in the User Manual as well as most/all of the other hints and tips on this Thread but who reads the Manual?...............

It wasn't fitted on the ES unless it was chosen as an option.

(And welcome to the forum! I have the same model year, engine and spec. as you have, feel free to ask any questions!)

Thanks Tommy. Only owned a Volvo for a little over a week but I'm really impressed so far.

Red face v70 tail gate locked !

So, i locked the glovebox and the boot still releases.....

Apparently if you turn the glove box key 90 degrees it locks the glove box, if you turn it 180 degrees it deadlocks the boot.

A bit of a surprise to a friend of mine, also the dealer who changed the lock before finding out from Volvo, apparently it in the handbook !

Regards, Richard.

I've been wanting to try that to see if it works, but never got round to it. I'm also trying to think hard of a situation when I could actually use it!

Did you know that you have a little pocket at the front of the two front seats?
